Ashley is a highly skilled engineer with comprehensive experience in the precision manufacturing sector. Commencing their career as a machinist, they developed expertise in fixture design and the manufacture of components for demanding industries including aerospace, pharmaceutical, and automotive. They progressed into CAM programming and manufacturing engineering roles, with a focus on metallic component part manufacturing, process streamlining, and the implementation of SMED and single-point loading to minimise downtime and enhance efficiency. They transitioned to applications engineering with Mitsubishi Hardmetal UK (MMC Group), providing tooling solutions for advanced part manufacture in military and defence, Formula 1, and aerospace. They specialised in the design and development of aluminium tooling for the European market, achieving significant improvements in material removal rates and component finishes.
