Ashley Tsang brings a wealth of experience to CNC Tool & Die, with a comprehensive background in the precision manufacturing sector. His career began as a machinist, where he developed expertise in fixture design and the manufacture of components for demanding industries, including aerospace, pharmaceutical, and automotive. This hands-on experience provides him with a deep understanding of the intricacies of the manufacturing process.
Progressing through his career, Ashley moved into CAM programming and manufacturing engineering roles. His focus on metallic component part manufacturing, process streamlining, and the implementation of SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Die) and single-point loading demonstrates his commitment to optimising production and enhancing efficiency. These skills will be invaluable in CNC Tool & Die’s ongoing drive for operational excellence.
Prior to joining CNC Tool & Die, Ashley transitioned to applications engineering with Mitsubishi Hardmetal UK (MMC Group). In this role, he provided tooling solutions for advanced part manufacture in highly demanding sectors such as military and defence, Formula 1, and aerospace. His specialisation in the design and development of aluminium tooling for the European market, achieving significant improvements in material removal rates and component finishes, highlights his ability to deliver innovative and effective solutions.
